Artist Biography
Susan McMullen
Canadian artist Susan
McMullen creates pieces of astounding realism.
Her museum-level Christmas art of Santa's elves, Father Christmas,
sculpture and Santa vignettes are in a class all by
themselves.
Susan McMullen's Santas are not only done in a traditional mode but can be done in green velvets, brocades, white and cream colors in vignettes that tell a unique story.
No expense is spared in buying fabrics, mohair and accessories.
Her talents include women, children, old men, birds, dogs and bears.
Her women are exquisite but unique. There is nothing ordinary or boring about her work.
Besides doing shows in her native Canada, she participated at shows in New York City at the Waldorf-Astoria, the Radisson Hotel and the Javits Convention Center. Susan was honored to participate in the Better Homes & Gardens Santa Claus Book 2003 with a six-page spread.
When you own Susan McMullen art it is a unique experience unlike any other you have experienced before in the doll art world.
Susan McMullen is one of the most interesting and exciting artists because of her scope of talent. Although she does the finest realistic museum-quality Santas you will ever see, she can equally create women and children of fantasy. Her rendition of Gandolf, a masterpiece of realism and fantasy, shows her facility for doing different types of art even though she is renowned for her Santa Claus figures.
Susan McMullen's work is usually sold immediately but we try to accommodate as many people as we can.
